THE ROLE
We are looking for a Fall Social Media Intern to join our close-knit team from September through January 2026. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience, support, and mentorship as you manage social media accounts, create content, and analyze results. You'll also have the opportunity to attend client meetings, participate in team workshops, and learn about design thinking—making this a great opportunity to learn and kick-start your career.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with our Account Coordinator to develop, implement, and manage social media strategies and campaigns across various platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
Create short-form content for social channels based on content pillars established for key clients.
Work closely with our design team to learn, understand, and implement visually appealing graphics and social media creatives in Adobe Suite that align with brand guidelines.
Prepare regular reports on the performance of social media and email campaigns, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Support the planning and development of social media account strategies, including conducting market research, performing competitor analysis, and participating in creative brainstorming sessions with the team.
Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and pitches.
ELIGIBILITY
This role is part of the Venture For Canada and needs to meet the following criteria:
Enrolled full or part time in a Canadian college or university
Studying any discipline, at any diploma or degree level
Will be enrolled (completing program requirements) for at least the first 30 days of this internship.
Holds Canadian citizenship, Permanent Residency, or refugee status
Resides in Victoria, Whistler or Pemberton, British Columbia.
Upon hiring, the successful candidate must complete this Venture For Canada student application no later than June 19, 2025
THE DETAILS
Part- Time Fixed Term Contract:
September 8th, 2025 - January 26, 2026
24 hours per/ week.
$22 per hour.
Primary work environment is from home with occasional in-person meetings / co-working days in Victoria or Pemberton, BC.
